The Lace Bra or The Functional Bra - Your Choice
The right bra sadly may not always be the sexy or lace bra that you would really like to have. A proper fitting brassiere will help you feel and look good because your clothes will fit much better over lingerie that fits right. Unfortunately, 9 out of 10 women are wearing the wrong size bra and underwear for our body types. Instead of giving us a smooth silhouette, our lingerie is giving us bumps, bulges and panty lines.
If you are wearing a bra that fits properly, the darts and seams will fall in the right place, buttons won't gape open and generally your clothes will hang more smoothly. To find the proper fitting bra, do your lingerie shopping go to a specialty lingerie shop where the staff are trained in proper bra fitting. Most women tend to buy bras that are too wide around the rib cage and too small in the cups.
A well constructed bra should offer enough support in the cup. Seamed bras are recommended for the more "well endowed", which is why it is next to impossible to find a seamless bra in larger cup sizes. An underwire bra is also a good idea for larger sizes. Sweater bras are very much in fashion these days.
The right bra for functional purposes is not always the sexy bra. Choose the plain bra over the lace bra so that no frills will make your top appear bumpy. Also choose a nude color bra to be worn under light color tops. Expect to invest at least $50 and higher in a good bra. Don't worry, it is well worth the investment and will pay for itself. A good bra will last much longer than a cheap bra, if it's taken care of. And the investment in your looks, posture and confidence is priceless.
